The department of political science was established in the year 1980. Since its inception, the department has made remarkable progress in teaching and extension work. All of them have worked for the development of the department and to make it a student-centric department. They have made necessary changes in the Department of Political Science to provide various facilities to the students and also organize educational tours every year. The department always encourages student to participate in the activities pertaining to social service activities like NSS and also SPORTS and GAMES. The department also sends students to the Zilla parishad, Panchayati Samiti Grama Panchayat, Gram sabha, Municipal corporation and Nagarpalika to Observe the functioning of state. The Participation of students in the work of election analysis is also noteworthy.
