ABOUT MATHEMATICS DEPARTMENT

• The department was established in 1983.  It is dedicated to impart high education in mathematics.
  
• It offers three programmes M.P.C (Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry), M.P.Cs (Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science), M.S.Cs(Mathematics, Statistics  and Computer Science) in three year (6  semesters) B.Sc Programme under the choice based credit system(CBCS).
  
• Every year department conduct several competitions like quiz, elocution, essay writing on the eve of birth anniversary of the great Indian Mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan.
  
• Faculty members actively participate  in faculty development programme.
  
• The department  adopted various methods of teaching and learning using ICT tools to motivate our students to enhance their knowledge on mathematics.
  
• The department encourages participation of students in curricular and co-curricular activities to build all round development in them.    
  

             OBJECTIVES                                             :

• To inculcate the habit of independent thinking and problem solving.
  
• To prepare the students reach out look for various fields.
  
• Identify and focus the students to the current issues and challenges in the field of Mathematics.
  
• To train the students in such a way that the knowledge acquired can be practically implemented for solving various problems encountered in the personal as – well-as professional life.
  
• To prepare the students to stand in the present competitive world with all over knowledge.
