Botany Department was established in the year 1989 with Botany, Zoology and Chemistry at graduation level. The Department aims to provide knowledge and skills to rural students. The department has well equipped state of art laboratories. The B.Sc (BZC), English medium programme was introduced in the academic year 2015-2016. General electives and value added courses were introduced in the curriculum. The department of Botany, SGK GDC has a medicinal garden to promote and nurture endangered medicinal plants.
